Apparel retailers connect the fastest with shoppers in September
Apparel and accessories retailers gave visitors and shoppers with high broadband connections the fastest access time in September, says Gomez Inc.
Gomez notes that customers with a high broadband connection could visit an apparel retailer’s site in about 5.4 seconds, compared to specialty/other retailers (5.65 seconds), mass merchants (6.08 seconds), and computers and electronics retailers (7.07 seconds).
When their site is accessed by a low broadband connection, apparel and accessories retailers provided the fastest average access at 12.94 seconds, Gomez says. The next fastest web retailing category was specialty/other retailers (13.14 seconds), followed by mass merchants (14.63 seconds) and computers and electronics (16.55 seconds).
