Fashion e-retailer Bluefly Inc. increased sales 25% to $16.9 million in first quarter 2006 compared with $13.5 million for the same period last year. Further, the company’s average ticket rose nearly 22% to $243.92 in Q1 2006 from $200.06 in Q1 2005.
Bluefly will continue to focus on increasing product sales and brand awareness via aggressive marketing and advertising; such past efforts have produced sales growth in excess of retail growth rates, the company says.
Sales buzzed in 2005, hitting $58.8 million, a 34.3% jump over $43.8 million in 2004. The average ticket in 2005 was $222.
