INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., June 18, 2001 - Sigma Micro Corporation (Sigma)
announced today that Sears Specialty Catalogs, part of Sears, Roebuck and
Co. (NYSE: S), has entered into an agreement to deploy Sigma Micro
Corporation`s (Sigma) Controller+(tm) Direct Commerce Management software
and services to support the retailer`s established specialty catalog
operations. Implementation is expected to be complete by this fall.
The agreement includes customization of the Controller+(tm) and
eController(tm) systems to enable the order processing of Sears "Wish Book"
and "Craftsman Power and Hand Tools" catalogs to be supported by and hosted
by the Sigma systems.
"Our analysis of Sigma Micro`s technical expertise, service culture and
capability to deliver solutions across multiple direct sales channels led us
to select Sigma to provide a robust direct commerce order processing
system," said David Shepherd, national manager of Specialty Catalog
fulfillment for Sears.
"Sigma`s ability to maintain consistent back-end system business rules
management and cross-channel transactions are important reasons why we were
selected to provide Sears with a robust solution," said Sigma Chairman and

Langsenkamp declined to attach a value to the Sears contract, but noted that
the multi-phase agreement represents a "significant" addition to the
company`s client base of over 100 leading direct commerce companies,
including such prominent names as Abbey Press, Eastbay/Champs/Footlocker,
eLUXURY, Johnston & Murphy, Kitchen Aid, Lands` End International,
Magellan`s, Whirlpool and Woodcraft Supply.
