To get a better handle on rapid growth in its online channel, luggage and leather goods maker Hartmann Inc. has appointed former Home Depot online executive Scott VanDeBurg to the new position of manager of e-commerce. He reports to Ken Hinman, vice president of sales and product design.
The appointment signals Hartmann’s increasing commitment to its retail web site, Hartmann.com, which has recorded strong growth since its launch in 2003, the company said.
At The Home Depot, VanDeBurg served as customer experience manager at 10CrescentLane.com, an outdoor furnishings retailer. Prior to Home Depot, he managed international online initiatives for Delta Air Lines.
Hartmann, based in Lebanon, TN, is a unit of Brown-Forman Corp., whose other brands include Jack Daniel’s whiskey and Korbell California Champagnes.
