PC Connection and Cyberian Outpost merger may become disconnected

The merger between PC Connection Inc. and Cyberian Outpost Inc. could be in jeopardy, the companies have announced.

Part of the merger agreement stated that Cyberian Outpost must meet certain net worth conditions for the merger to go through. Cyberian Outpost has informed PC Connection that it may not be able to fulfill the net worth condition. PC Connection responded that if the net worth conditions is not met, the merger will not be completed.

Cyberian Ouotpost said that in light of these developments, it has initiated conversations with other possible buyers.

PC Connection is a Fortune 1000 company that sells more than 100,000 brand-name products through outbound sales account managers and catalog telesales representatives, its web sites at www.pcconnection.com, www.macconnection.com and www.comteq.com, and catalogs PC Connection and MacConnection.

Outpost.com was established in 1995 as an Internet retailer of consumer technology products.
