Redesigned ToolKing.com lets shoppers search by multiple categories
ToolKing.com has launched a redesigned e-commerce site with advanced search capabilities that make shopping for tools simpler and more efficient, managing partner Don Cohen says.
The new search capabilities classify each tool in a number of categories and subcategories and allow customers to simultaneously search a number of different criteria, including keyword, name, price, vendor and manufacturer.
“We are confident that ToolKing.com offers the best selection of tools at the most competitive prices on the web,” Cohen says. “However, we found that our search function was not efficient in leading customers to find the exact products that they were looking for.”
To make navigation easier, ToolKing completely redesigned the site layout, Cohen says. The new site has brand stores that are specific to a manufacturer and offer important information about each brand. Newly added images and graphics lead shoppers to a special section for clearance items, package deals, bare tool offerings, and factory-reconditioned tool inventory.
ToolKing, No. 244 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, also added two specialty sites: Toologics.com, which features hundreds of product buying guides, tool news, and community discussions where users can interact and post videos; and TKRecon.com, a specialized tool store of factory-reconditioned tools that offers up to 40% savings on tools by top brand name manufacturers.
“Our vision for ToolKing.com is to be a comprehensive web site where tool enthusiasts can shop, learn and interact,” Cohen says. “We feel that the new site redesign has accomplished this objective and we plan to see a lot of success through the new site.”
