FatWire gets fatter with Web 2.0 acquisition
Web content management vendor FatWire Software has acquired Infostoria, a vendor of Web 2.0 collaboration and content sharing tools. FatWire’s systems are designed to deliver compelling online experiences. It purchased Infostoria to integrate that company’s technology, which enables single-click wiki creation and blogging. The technology also offers a content integration platform to help organizations manage, find and securely share content stored in disparate data repositories.
Web 2.0 technologies, including wikis, blogs and content sharing, are key to facilitating collaboration among an organization’s employees, customers and partners, thus fostering an engaged community of users, FatWire says.
“Enterprises increasingly need to offer relevant and collaborative online interactions that fully utilize Web 2.0 capabilities,” says Yogesh Gupta, president and CEO of FatWire. “Hundreds of global enterprises rely on content server for their web presence. This acquisition will enable FatWire to deliver a richer set of web experience management solutions that helps clients optimize their online offerings and grow their business.”
FatWire Content Server is designed to help organizations build, deploy and manage web sites and online communications from a simple interface. FatWire hopes the addition of Infostoria functionality will improve clients’ web experiences and drive increased customer loyalty and sales.
