A wave of the wand and up pops m-commerce

M-commerce technology vendor mPoria Inc. has introduced GoMobile m-Commerce Wizard, a guided, online service designed to enable the company’s retail clients to set up and launch mobile stores without the need for in-house technical resources.

Once a merchant signs up for GoMobile, they are guided through a set-up process using point-and-click features and pull-down menus. The system accommodates a retailer’s unique branding requirements and shipping and sales tax policies; supports various product feed formats; and offers real-time reporting on consumer visits and merchandise orders, the vendor says.

“Retailers are operating in a highly competitive and fast-paced market and the mobile channel provides a lucrative opportunity for their businesses. Many of these merchants however, do not have I.T. resources to dedicate to the channel,” says mPoria CEO Dan Wright. “With this online wizard we’ve enhanced mPoria’s GoMobile m-commerce service to enable all merchants—regardless of their I.T. capabilities—to quickly and easily manage the process of site set-up and launch.”

In addition to a simple and automated set-up, mPoria says, the wizard also provides support for easy ongoing changes to site branding, business rules and other settings; access to real-time site analytics for usage and transactions; and access to optional real-time integration for shipping, sales tax, price and inventory check, and order placement.
