Netkey, Inc. and Found, Inc. Leverage Internet Technology Expertise to Improve Inventory Management, Customer Service and Overall Store Profitability

CHICAGO - Retail Systems 2001 Show, Booth 324 - Netkey, Inc., the leading provider of software to power and manage retail self-service devices, and Found, Inc., solutions provider for an integrated retail enterprise, have announced a technology partnership here today that will provide retailers with new capabilities which improve customer service and manage inventory by implementing Web-based technologies into their multi-channel strategy. The joint partnership pairs Netkey’s self-service tools with inventory information delivered by Found`s ICaM (Integrated Clicks and Mortar) SolutionTM.

In a time when retailers are looking to improve operating efficiencies and offer customers a more personalized shopping experience, this joint software solution integrates Found’s real-time product availability data with Netkey`s “customer-facing” Web kiosk technology. The combination will allow consumers to have consistent access to inventory and services across all retail channels by providing Web-based in-store access points. As a result, fewer customers will walkout of a store without the item they desire and in turn, retailers will benefit from increased sales, improved inventory management, enhanced customer service, and reduced operating cost for the retailer.

“The joint effort will create a substantial impact in the area of multi-channel retailing, strengthening customer relationships, building loyalty, and enhancing the customer experience,” explains Netkey CEO Alex Richardson. “Customer relationship management issues are addressed by this pairing which offers benefits throughout the supply chain.”

According to a recent report by KPMG LLP & Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, 55 percent of shoppers would like to use kiosks to order out-of-stock items. The Found-Netkey system will provide quick and easy access to real-time product availability across an entire network of retail stores.

One of the biggest challenges facing retailers today is customer walkouts due to merchandise stockouts” says Richard Lawson, president and CEO of Found. “Our companies have focused on creating a solution that provides the consumer with access to real-time inventory information and leads to a more personalized, satisfying shopping experience and also improves retail margins and merchandise sell-thru.”

Found and Netkey are also working in conjunction with Clixnmortar, a Simon Property Group initiative that has developed ClixList, an integrated listing, registry, and personal catalog solution. Netkey enabled kiosks are ClixList’s preferred customer self-service devices at the retail stores and Found’s ICaM Solution is the preferred underlying integration infrastructure.

Found will be exhibiting at Retail Systems 2001 trade show in Chicago, June 25-28, 2001 in Booth #324.
