
Della & James Walk Down The E-Commerce Aisle With A Number Of New Partners
Della & James, the online gift registry, today announced it raised $45 million from
Amazon.com, The Neiman Marcus Group, Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma and investors Kleiner
Perkins Caufield & Byers and Trinity Ventures. The financing will be used to further
secure Della & James' leadership in the online wedding gift registry market and to
launch the company's all-occasion gift registry this holiday season.
Launched in June , Della & James brings together
wedding registries from a broad selection of national retailers and local
stores, including Crate & Barrel, Dillard's, Neiman Marcus, Williams-Sonoma, REI
and Gump's, creating the best way to register for and purchase wedding gifts. As
part of the strategic relationship with Amazon.com, Della & James' wedding gift
registry will be available through Amazon.com, enabling Amazon.com's 10.7 million
customers to find wedding registries and purchase wedding gifts through Della &
James.
This holiday season, Della & James will extend its model of bringing together the
nation's leading retail brands to registry for all occasions. The Della & James site
will enable customers to add items from leading retailers to Della & James
wishlists, view other people's wishlists and purchase the best gifts. Neiman Marcus,
Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma, Amazon.com and other premier retailers will be
featured on Della & James' all-occasion gift registry site.
