Anna’s Linens Selects SSA Global Transportation Solution
SSA Transportation Execution will provide visibility into shipments, improve tracking and cut costs
CHICAGO and ORLANDO -- September 21, 2005 – At its annual Global Client Forum in Orlando, FL, SSA Global™ (NASDAQ: SSAG), a leading global provider of extended enterprise solutions and services, today announced that Anna’s Linens, a national specialty-retailer with revenues surpassing $225 million, will implement SSA Transportation Execution in order to improve visibility into shipments and on-time performance with third party logistics (3PL) providers.
Anna’s Linens is a specialty retailer of high quality, value priced domestic and home furnishings, including bed linens, window coverings, bath accessories and other home décor items. As of September 2005, it operated 200 stores in 14 states, and has opened 31 new stores in 2005. This growth strategy is driving the demand for expanded transportation and supply chain management capabilities.
After an internal review and assessment process, Anna’s Linens conducted an external evaluation of several supply chain and transportation management solution providers, and found that SSA Global, a company well known for its mid-market expertise, offered functionally-rich solutions and a Web-based system with a lower total cost that promises quicker implementation.
