Englewood, CO – June 27, 2001— Page, a leading developer of multi-channel commerce software, today announced General Availability of synaro™ WebStore version 3.0. This enhanced version of the Java-based WebStore benefits clients with a need for extremely scalable performance adaptable to varying and/or seasonal traffic and order levels. Version 3.0 adds additional and more robust flexibility in layout, maintenance, shopping cart, and back-end integration functionality.

synaro™ WebStore 3.0 works as an enhanced customer retention tool optimizing shopping cart-to-purchase completion rates. Incremental beneficial shopping aids include a product look-up search engine, archiving of shopping cart contents for future purchase, cross/up sell recommendations, multiple payment methods per order, ascending and descending column sorting and more. Shoppers access real-time inventory availability, order status (web-based, call center, and retail store orders are all available through the WebStore), order confirmation, and tracking information as WebStore seamlessly integrates via XML through the Java-based synaro™ Integrator to disparate back-end applications. Dramatically increasing site performance, product information is stored in dynamic cache memory – eliminating multiple database queries as users navigate through the site.

Additional feature highlights of version 3.0 include a browser-based Publishing Manager enabling global maintenance of strategic product information. Webmasters can flexibly enable/disable products, define product structures, assign attributes such as images, descriptions, and categorization, etc., from any location with Internet access. An inclusive Data Replicator keeps inventory items current by sending new/changed product data from the back-end system to the Publishing Manager to activate.

synaro™ WebStore’s 3.0 architecture is designed with tool sets comprised of Java beans, Java servelets and templates enabling customers to use one or many components together to optimize their site. “Scalable design is a major factor affecting a website’s performance,” stated Dave Joseph, Executive Vice President of Page Digital, Inc. “WebStore’s component-based technology enables customers to proactively compose a best-of-breed site specific to their needs, while maintaining full integration to their back-end data.”
