Art.com names two industry veterans to key executive positions
Art.com has tapped Gap Inc., and a former executive of the LEGO Company, respectively, to find is new chief marketing officer and new senior vice president of online marketplace and digital media.
16-year retail and consumer goods industry veteran Robert K. Giglio was named chief marketing officer. He was most recently with Gap, where he held senior management roles including vice president and general manager of OldNavy.com, and vice president of the Old Navy Canada division. Previously, he was vice president of marketing for Pottery Barn, where he oversaw the launch of Pottery Barn’s e-commerce and online wedding and gift registry. Giglio also previously held brand marketing positions with the Clorox and Procter & Gamble companies.
In his new role, Giglio will be responsible for leading the brand positioning and growth strategies for Art.com’s core brands, Art.com, Allposters.com, and poster.de.
Appointed as senior vice president, online marketplace and digital media, is Brad Justus, who has 20 years of experience in consumer marketing and communications. Most recently, Justus was president and chief information officer of Informative, a San Francisco-based technology firm that provides consumer voice solutions to brand marketers and researchers. Prior to that, he was senior vice president at LEGO, where he created and led LEGO direct.
In his new role at Art.com, Justus will be responsible for building the company’s online marketplace and community for original art.
