Dell leads all big web retailers in high broadband connectivity

Dell.com provided the fastest high broadband access time among big web retailers in October, says Gomez Inc.

At 2.86 seconds Dell was followed by Zappos.com (3.64 seconds), Footlocker.com (3.90 seconds) and Scholastic.com (4.12 seconds). Using a dial-up connection, Dell.com also provided the fastest site response time at 30.88 seconds.

In October, a shopper with a high broadband connection could access a Top 50 retail site in 6.03 seconds, compared with 13.84 seconds for a low broadband connection and 49.90 seconds for dial-up.
