SUPERIOR, Colo. – July 11, 2001 – Veripost, the e-mail change of address solution, today announced that it has signed a business alliance with BlueLight.com (www.bluelight.com). Veripost will provide BlueLight.com ISP subscribers with a free way to maintain relationships from their previous e-mail addresses. With more than seven million subscribers, BlueLight.com is one of the nation’s top ten largest Internet service providers.

“Veripost’s free service enables us to offer a real value to our users,” said Shaun Sparks, BlueLight.com’s director of business operations. “When using a new e-mail address, keeping in touch with people can be a challenge. By offering a service that helps with this process, we strengthen the value we provide our subscribers and make using their new BlueLight.com ISP account even easier.”

The partnership also strengthens Veripost’s value to consumers and businesses. “Offering our e-mail change of address service at highly relevant times in the new e-mail experience makes our service more intuitive for consumers and more effective for our business partners,” said Eric Kirby, CEO of Veripost. “As such, we’re excited to be partnering with a leading Internet service provider like BlueLight.com.”

How Veripost Works
The Veripost system helps reconnect consumers with personal contacts and online relationships. To provide contacts with updated e-mail information, consumers need only register their old and new e-mail addresses at www.veripost.net or through partner companies such as BlueLight.com. The partnership with BlueLight.com gives ISP users the option to enter their old email address and their new @mybluelight.com address upon registration for the ISP. Upon verification of the e-mail address change, the new e-mail address is then accessible by contacts in search of the new address. The process is fast, free and easy.

When an inactive e-mail is discovered by businesses or personal contacts, Veripost will provide a new address upon receiving permission from the e-mail user. At the time of registration, each consumer chooses a preferred level of permission that determines how updates are handled.
