Shogging? Pepperjam combines shopping and blogging
Pepperjam today launched a redesigned site that now includes a blog in which customers can post reviews and comments on products they purchase. The company has dubbed the combined process “shogging.”
The Pepperjam Comparison Shopping Blog unites comparison shopping and blogging. It uses computer programming languages AJAX and Python to integrate the two processes and their functionalities. Seven-year-old Pepperjam specializes in e-commerce search engine and affiliate marketing and operates the comparison shopping site.
“Unlike a typical comparison engine experience where shopping and reviewing are done separately, on separate pages, and, in some cases, on different web sites, our new site allows users to comparison shop, read and write blogs, and never migrate away from their unique, individual shopping experience,” says Kristopher B. Jones, president and CEO.
Pepperjam’s diverse merchant partners include Walmart.com, Target.com, Buy.com, Petco.com, Staples.com, iGourmet.com and many others. The company says it offers access to more than 20 million products.
