Sun Microsystems shows sharpest rise in traffic to computer hardware sites
Sun Microsystems Inc. had the sharpest increase in unique visitor traffic to computer hardware manufacturers’ e-commerce sites for October, with a 77% year-to-year increase to 4.7 million unique visitors. Apple Inc. continued to lead in terms of total unique traffic with 44.26 million visitors, up 24% from 35.78 million a year ago, Nielsen Online reports.
The top 10 computer hardware e-commerce web sites in October with unique visitors in millions this October and last October and percent growth were:

This is a custom list compiled by Internet Retailer of the top 10 e-commerce sites in this category based on Nielsen Online data.
The category hosted 55.51 million unique visitors in October, Nielsen says.
(Unique visitors count only once each shopper who came to a site, no matter how many times that shopper visited.)
In terms of time that the average visitor spent on each site in October, Apple led with 67 minutes and 56 seconds. The average for the category in October was 19 minutes, 18 seconds. The Top 10 in terms of average time that a shopper spent on the site (minutes:seconds), along with unique visitors in millions, according to Nielsen Online, were:
