Bluefly.com’s October sales rise 63%

October net sales at Bluefly Inc.`s Bluefly.com rose 63% year-over-year, to $4.1 million from $2.5 million, the discount fashion apparel retailer said today.

"October 2003 was our second highest month of net sales ever," CEO Ken Seiff said. "Only December of 2002, a month in which we had approximately $4.2 million in net sales, was better."

Seiff noted that part of the 63% growth in October net sales was due to the comparison with poor sales in the first two weeks of October 2002, and that he does not expect Bluefly to maintain such a high growth rate.
