SAN FRANCISCO (July 18, 2001) -- Totality Corp., a leading provider of Application & Infrastructure Management (AIM) services for e-businesses, today announced two new customers, Cabela’s Inc. and GoPin. Cabela’s is the World’s Foremost Outfitter for hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreational enthusiasts; GoPin is an innovative payments solution company for virtual commerce. Both companies chose Totality’s infrastructure implementation and 24x7 site management services to ensure superior site performance, reliability and operational efficiencies.
“Cabela’s and GoPin recognize the value of outsourcing site management and operations to full service managed service providers (MSPs) such as Totality,” said Darl Davidson, Chairman and CEO of Totality. “By outsourcing to Totality, clients can lower their site operational costs and ensure a higher quality of service through Totality’s proven operational environment.”
Cabela’s (www.cabelas.com) engaged Totality for day-to-day management of their site including all operational services ranging from 24x7 monitoring, problem management and ongoing change management. Cabela`s sells outdoor gear through catalogs, retail outlets and their online channel www.cabelas.com. The privately owned company has a distribution of more than 75 million catalogs per year to all 50 states within the United States and 120 countries worldwide. The Cabela’s web site features the latest inventory that is frequently updated, a complete catalog of products, community features, advanced shopping features and an e-mail newsletter informing customers of new products, special offers and outdoor news.
“When it was time to advance our site, we looked to an MSP,” said Tim Miller, Director of E-Commerce for Cabela’s. “With Totality’s proven track record and expertise in the leading e-business platforms, outsourcing site operations to them rather than managing it internally was the optimal solution.”
For customer GoPin Totality will provide infrastructure development services and will manage the site on an ongoing basis once launched.
These customers, like Totality’s other clients, will leverage Totality’s complete site management solution that spans the network to the application layer including management of the client’s custom application. Totality manages sites hosted at various data centers located nationally.
