HIPBONE DELIVERS MULTI-LANGUAGE CAPABILITIES IN NEW RELEASE OF WEB CO-BROWSING TECHNOLOGY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Upgraded Version Supports 14 Languages to Meet International Call Center
Demands
SAN CARLOS, Calif., July 19, 2001 - Hipbone, Inc., the leading provider of
enterprise-class collaborative browsing software, today announced immediate
availability of the newly released Hipbone 2.3, providing Web co-browsing
solutions for international customer contact centers. Hipbone 2.3, which
was developed to meet the immediate needs of its multi-national customers
and resellers, permits companies` online service agents to interact with
site visitors by co-browsing Web pages in any of 14 different languages.
In a recent study, the Aberdeen Group estimated that by the end of 2003 as
much as two-thirds of all e-commerce spending will take place outside of the
United States. Hipbone`s release of international co-browsing follows its
recent opening of a sales and support office in the UK and supports
Hipbone`s commitment to providing global customer interaction services.
Hipbone 2.3 supports co-browsing of dynamic Web pages written in English,
French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Dutch, Swedish, Danish,
Norwegian, Finnish, Turkish, Hebrew, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified),
and Japanese. Additional character sets are currently being tested for Q4
support.
"Hipbone 2.3 is our response to the rapid increase we`ve seen in the number
of companies linking multi-lingual call centers to Web sites that support
multiple languages," said Michael Sayer, president and CEO of Hipbone. "By
extending our existing international call-back capability with support for
multiple languages, we are giving our customers the extra power they need to
compete globally, while opening up tremendous new markets for Hipbone."
Hipbone`s live interactive solutions permit companies to deliver richer
online sales and service experiences by enabling contact center personnel to
co-browse with prospects and customers while communicating using VoIP,
Internet call-back or text-chat. With the new release, Hipbone`s customers
and partners are now able to co-browse sites written in multiple character
sets, as well as easily customize the Hipbone user interface to reflect both
company-specific business practices and local language requirements.
Hipbone also offers a complementary international telephone call-back
service, which permits customers in a country different from the contact
center to request live assistance by clicking on a "live help" button on the
Web site and entering their local contact information.
