Taking the measure of affiliate marketing networks
Affiliate marketing networks are getting huge, reports The AffStat2003 report
on affiliate marketing programs. In fact, 47% of marketers who have affiliate
programs have 1,000 or more affiliates, and 8% have more than 20,000. Yet while
those affiliates are driving traffic, only 16% of marketers pay commissions
in a month to 10% or more of their affiliates. Those are a few of metrics that
author Shawn Collins of AffiliateManager.net reports from his survey of more
than 100 affiliate managers from a cross-section of industries.
