Site search company Netrics hires a new head of engineering
Site search technology provider Netrics has hired Patrick Austermann as vice president of engineering.
Austermann most recently was the information security officer at Bookspan, a partnership between Bertelsmann and Time Warner, where he was responsible for IT infrastructure. In that role, he was a customer of Netrics. He previously was manager of international IT projects for BOL.com (Bertelsmann Online) and project manager for Bosch Telecom.
"I became a Netrics customer three years ago when I selected their matching technology to power a Fortune 500 company`s e-commerce solution with millions of users," Austermann says. "I am intimately familiar, from a client`s perspective, with our products` ease of integration and also fully appreciate the advanced mathematics` and sophisticated algorithms` ability to create tangible business benefits."
Austermann will be responsible for customer and partner integrations and help develop the next generation of the Netrics product.
