Fast Search & Transfer hit a new quarterly revenue record of $32.8 million for the first quarter ended March 31, up 54% from $21.3 million a year ago, as operating income rose 19% to $6.2 million, the company reported this week.
FAST attributed the increase to continued adoption of its FAST Enterprise Search Platform, Search Derivative Applications and its OEM projects with partners including e-commerce platform provider Ecometry Corp.
FAST, based in Oslo, Norway, also announced the release of FAST ImPulse 3.0, the latest generation of its search and merchandising application for online retailers.
The company is also growing its staff. “We are expanding our teams around the globe to continue delivering the quality products and services our customers expect,” said CEO John Lervik. “In Q2 we will open new offices in Seoul and Hong Kong, strengthening our presence in these important markets.”
