BabyUniverse moving offices and warehouses across the U.S.
BabyUniverse Inc. is playing musical chairs, moving offices and warehouses and consolidating operations.
The company has leased a 9,700-square-foot office facility in Jupiter, FL, that will consolidate Florida senior management offices and allow for the closure this month of the company’s existing office, warehouse and call center facility in Ft. Lauderdale.
The new Jupiter office will comprise corporate and strategic functions such as executive management, strategic planning, finance, logistics, technology and new media development. Substantially all e-commerce functions previously based in Florida will be consolidated with the expanding operations of PoshTots.com in Richmond, VA, by the end of the month.
The company is relocating and expanding PoshTots.com to a 14,400-square-foot facility in Richmond to accommodate the continuing growth of PoshTots.com, PoshLiving.com and PoshCravings.com, as well as the newly consolidated operations of BabyUniverse.com and DreamtimeBaby.com, the company says.
On another front, BabyUniverse, No. 224 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites, has closed the DreamtimeBaby.com office, call center and warehouse facilities in Los Angeles, relocating a reduced DreamtimeBaby staff to BabyUniverse’s Las Vegas facility.
Pure-play BabyUniverse’s web sites sell brand name baby, toddler and maternity products and furnishings.
