Even Lillian Vernon's customers are on the web

Lillian Vernon Corp. experienced a doubling of traffic to its web site in the third quarter over the same quarter a year ago, the company reported today. But it also reported that overall revenue and profits will be substantially lower than last year's. Lillian Vernon said higher interest rates and energy prices are causing people to shop less.
