Integration of Marketplace Manager Service with High Traffic Storefronts
Ensures Merchants the Greatest Potential Exposure of any Auction or
Marketplace Service
SALT LAKE CITY - August 23, 2001 - Infopia, Inc., developers of Marketplace
Manager, the first intelligent online product sales and exposure service,
announced the addition of eBay Stores and Yahoo Stores to the list of
auctions and marketplaces where products are posted and managed on behalf of
the company`s customers.
Infopia`s network of integrated shopping destinations already includes the
largest offering of sites where a merchant can automatically have their
inventory listed and maintained. This network is comprised of auction sites,
comparison-shopping sites, classified ad sites and malls; including such
names such as eBay (Nasdaq:EBAY), Amazon.com (Nasdaq:AMZN), Yahoo!
(Nasdaq:YHOO), MSN (Nasdaq:MSFT), Excite (Nasdaq:ATHM), uBid (Nasdaq:CMGI),
and many more.
Infopia also uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to determine which of the
merchant`s products should be listed on which marketplaces, at what time
they should be listed, in which categories and using what selling
techniques. Infopia merchants pay a monthly subscription for use of the
service and currently enjoy a return of over $16 in revenue for every $1
spent.
"Our company is built on the concept that merchants and retailers can be
successful online by capitalizing on the traffic generated by auction and
shopping portals," said Bjorn Espenes, chief executive officer of Infopia.
"Yahoo and eBay are prime examples. As they continue to diversify their
offerings to include things such as stores, they do so with the intention of
driving substantial shopping traffic to them. Our merchants benefit by
having their products listed in so many different places without having to
maintain or manage more than one account."
