Victor Hamilton, a 30-year veteran of food industry distribution systems, has been named president and CEO of Retalix Inc., a provider of web-enabled enterprise software to retailers including supermarkets, c-stores and restaurants. Retalix Inc., the U.S. unit of Israel-based Retailix Ltd., accounts for about 64% of corporate sales.
Hamilton, who reports to Retalix Ltd. chairman and CEO Barry Shaked, has served as chairman and CEO of Integrated Distribution Solutions, an Omaha-based company that Retalix acquired in April.
"This appointment strengthens Retalix's management structure in North America and helps position us to execute our strategy of synchronizing retail and the supply chain as a single organization providing enterprise-wide software solutions to the grocery, convenience, fuel and food services industries,” Shaked said.
Hamilton founded ERP software company H&S in 1981, then merged it with Data Tech Services in 2000 to create IDS, a provider of ERP software to food industry distributors.
As president and CEO of Retalix, Hamilton will be responsible for sales and customer support activities in the Americas, Retalix said.
In other Retalix Inc. appointments, the company appointed former IDS executive Todd Michaud as executive vice president of sales and marketing; Lance Jacobs, former CEO of TCI Solutions, as executive vice president of products and strategy; and Retalix Ltd. veteran Rueben Halevi as executive vice president of product development.
