BlueLight.com, CareThere team up
CareThere, a company dedicated to improving the lives of caregivers of the elderly, disabled and chronically ill and BlueLight.com formed a
strategic partnership with both on and off-line components. CareThere and BlueLight.com will partner to leverage the Internet and provide caregivers with comprehensive knowledge and a wide array of e-commerce solutions through BlueLight.com's online shopping destination
and by providing caregivers with BlueLight.com's free Internet service. This partnership is said to be the country's first web-based alliance for caregivers with ties to a national brick-and-mortar retailer, CareThere said.
CareThere will become BlueLight.com's exclusive partner for caregiving. BlueLight.com's Internet service will be promoted as the preferred ISP of CareThere, allowing the caregiving company's members free access to the Internet and the wealth of products, information
and services available on both the CareThere and BlueLight.com sites. As part of this outreach effort, BlueLight.com will develop a co-branded web registration page designed especially to help meet the needs of the millions of caregivers across the U.S. Currently, BlueLight.com has more than 4 million subscribers to its ISP -- this number is expected to reach
6 million by year-end making BlueLight.com the second largest branded Internet service in the country.
CareThere will be included in numerous marketing vehicles in Kmart stores. Additionally, BlueLight.com and CareThere will promote the co-branded free Internet service through online advertising, direct-to-consumer marketing vehicles and other opportunities on the BlueLight.com and CareThere sites.
