Datavantage/CommercialWare is now Micros-Retail
Micros Systems Inc. has changed the name of its store systems and e-commerce technology unit, Datavantage/CommercialWare, to Micros-Retail. The new name provides a common brand for Datavantage/CommercialWare and eOne Group, an e-commerce technology company Micros Systems acquired in August.
Micros Systems says it will continue using the Datavantage, CommercialWare and eOne Group names, but that the overall Micros-Retail brand will provide a consistent global image for its integrated suite of store and e-commerce technology systems.
Mike Busch, director of information systems for outdoor apparel and gear retailer Patagonia, says the combined Micros-Retail suite supports Patagonia’s goal of meeting its customers needs across multiple offline and online channels. "We have been a customer of Datavantage/CommercialWare for 25 years using the CWDirect suite, direct to consumer order management, and Store21 point-of-sale to improve efficiencies in our retail operations,” he says. “We look forward to having complete cross-channel visibility to our customers. The cross-channel transparency of web, catalog, and store sales will enhance our ability to provide world class customer service regardless how the customer chooses to interact with us."
