- New staff and extended hours confirm company commitment to outstanding customer service -

(NEW YORK) August 27, 2001 - FINDWHAT.COM (NASDAQ: FWHT) a leading developer and marketer of performance-based advertising services for the Internet, featuring the FindWhat.com pay-for-performance search engine, has expanded its customer service hours to include Friday evenings and Saturday service.

The change is effective immediately. Customer Service Manager Luis Barcenas said the company made the change in direct response to requests from advertisers. "A performance-based search engine works with clients from many time zones, and that means being available to our customers as much as we possibly can. We are committed to providing the best-quality customer service in our industry, so we treat each advertiser as an individual and not as just an account number," Barcenas said.

FindWhat.com customer service is available by calling 888-882-3178 from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern time and is now also open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday. In addition, FindWhat.com is expanding the size of its customer service staff as the company continues to grow. The number of FindWhat.com advertisers has increased 36% in the last three months alone. The goal at FindWhat.com is to process all new keyword requests within 48 hours and within 24 hours if possible. Expanding the staff allows the customer service department to continue to meet these goals as the number of clients continues to increase. Web site owners select the keywords they want to use for their sites, and those words are reviewed by the FindWhat.com staff to make sure they are relevant. For example, a software site cannot choose keywords relating to auto parts. This quality control assures that the sites returned on any Internet search are relevant for what the Web user is trying to find.

July 23, 2001, FindWhat.com announced that it is the first pay-for-performance Internet search engine to become profitable on a GAAP basis and one of just a handful of dot-com businesses to be profitable. Revenue in the second quarter of 2001 increased 73% sequentially over the first quarter, and the company raised its 2001 revenue estimate to $18 million. That would be a 500% increase over 2000 revenue. The company launched its search engine in September 1999.

FindWhat.com Chief Operating Officer Phillip Thune said, "Our 10,000 active advertisers are our largest asset, so providing those advertisers with the best possible customer service is a key element of our business. When you send us an email, you don`t get a form letter back. When you call our customer service department, you are connected directly to a customer service representative-a real person-without going through a maze of voice mail push buttons. Providing that high level of service is very important to us."

About FindWhat.com
Through its performance-based, bid-for-position search engine (www.FindWhat.com), FindWhat.com operates an online marketplace where Web publishers use an automated bidding process to determine the per-click fee they will pay for premier placement on the search results returned by the FindWhat.com search engine. These results are shown on FindWhat.com`s network of distribution partners, which include Excite, Webcrawler, CNET`s Search.com, and InfoSpace`s MetaCrawler and Dogpile. The Web sites offering the highest bid for particular keywords and key phrases appear first on the list of search results distributed throughout the network. This cost-effective, pay-for-performance model allows Web publishers to pay only for those customers who click through to their sites, and increase their potential for exposure through the millions of searches distributed throughout the network per day.
