Bigger Sizes Expand Nordstrom Offering Online

Seattle-based Nordstrom.com today launched on online boutique featuring apparel for the larger woman in partnership with Emme Associates, a design firm headed by one of the country's leading full-figured models. Nordstrom.com already offers high-fashion plus-size apparel, but the addition of the entire EMMMEŽ collection expands the merchandise selection, the company says. An estimated 60% of American women wear size 14 or above, which is the group targeted in the boutique. In addition to offering the apparel at www.nordstron.com/emme, Nordstrom is offering the plus-size collection in-store in selected markets in a bid to beef up cross-channel merchandising.
