Orbit Drop names veteran retail executive Alan Weinstein as its new CEO

Orbit Drop Inc., a franchiser and operator of eBay drop-off stores, has named as its new CEO Alan A. Weinstein, a former senior executive at Bugle Boy Industries Inc. and Gottschalks Inc. He replaces Cain McKnight, who has resigned.

Orbit Drop, a publicly owned company, has three eBay drop-off stores in Houston, Dallas and Amarillo, TX, and is registered to offer franchises in 41 other states. The company says it brought in Weinstein for his 35 years of retail industry experience, including overseeing mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Orbit Drop, Weinstein was senior vice president and CFO of apparel manufacturer and retailer Bugle Boy, senior vice president and CFO of retail chain Gottschalks and CFO of women’s apparel retailer Wet Seal Inc.
