Brown Shoe hires CitiFinancial executive as new CIO
Brown Shoe Co. has a new chief information officer.
Brown Shoe, which owns and operates Shoes.com, No. 155 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, has hired Joe Caro as a senior vice president and CIO.
At Brown, Caro will oversee all of the shoe manufacturer’s various technology plans, including the Internet. Prior to joining Brown, Caro was senior vice president and chief technology officer for the CitiFinancial International division. In that role, he was responsible for developing and managing technology for the international consumer lending business. Prior to that, he held positions with MasterCard as vice president, Internet technology solutions, and as director, banking and online brokerage technology at Edward Jones & Co.
