Just in Time for the Holidays - UniteU™ Announces New Software Release
Rochester, NY (November 21, 2005) – At their recent User Conference in Chicago UniteU (www.uniteu.com) announced their new Connected Commerce Version 4.93. After a beta program involving twelve customers of various sizes, industries and levels of sophistication this new software version is now in general release. The release includes improvements in virtually every aspect of the Connected Commerce system, but the primary focus is on enhanced online merchandising.
“We really wanted to focus this release on delivering innovative ways to merchandise products online – just in time for the holidays,” reports Rebecca Ramme, UniteU Director of Business Development. “Our customers are very serious about their online channel and many of them offer thousands of products on their UniteU eStore. This can be overwhelming to the browsing shopper. Plus, online attention spans are very short. The eStore must quickly engage the shopper and make it easy for them to find what they are looking for. This release includes enhanced search, advanced cross promotion options, value pairing, product packages and high-end image management capabilities.”
In addition to enhancing site merchandising features this release includes backend improvements as well. As online retailers grow they rely on increased automation to keep costs down without compromising on great customer service. Improvements were made to address several order management challenges – including some that were specifically related to Retail Pro integration and others in the online credit card processing area.

The folks around here that pick, pack and ship our Web orders are really enjoying the updated release!”
Now that the new software is in general release the UniteU Merchant Services and Production teams are busy upgrading each of the more than 200 UniteU eStores so that every customer will be able to take advantage of the new system as soon as possible.
