Cabela’s to cut 10% of headquarters staff
With the tight economy slowing growth in direct sales and a drop in comp store sales, multi-channel sporting goods retailer Cabela’s says it will reduce its headquarters workforce by about 10%. Q2 direct sales rose 1.5% while total sales rose 37%.

Goody’s hires a new chief merchandise officer
