Visa U.S.A. and Yahoo Inc. today announced a significantly expanded marketing relationship which leverages Yahoo's comprehensive commerce platform and builds upon Visa U.S.A.'s successful relationship with Yahoo Shopping. Under the new agreement, Visa will be the preferred and default payment card on Yahoo Shopping, Yahoo Travel and Yahoo Wallet. Additionally, Yahoo and Visa intend to promote Visa's payer authentication service on the Yahoo network to create a more convenient and secure shopping experience for consumers. As part of the agreement, Visa will have branded, fixed placement throughout the three areas. Yahoo and Visa have also agreed to jointly develop an offline co-branded marketing program for 2001.
