New Web Site Banishes Handling Charges
New Web Site Banishes Handling ChargesFree shipping has been one of the tactics used by e-retailers to sell the public on buying online. Now, free shipping offers from across the e-retail spectrum have been gathered in a dedicated web site,freeshipping.com. The Whippany, N.J.-based company claims to be the InternetŐs only site focused on connecting shoppers with free shipping and handling deals on merchandise. Web shoppers can search more than a million products in 10 department categories such as apparel and office supplies from e-retailers including Cooking.com, Spiegel.com, MVP.com, Staples.com, and others. Several retail partners of the new company that normally charge customers for shipping are offering it free exclusively through freeshipping.com, says D.J. Vallauri, president and CEO.
