Operon Partners acquired eMarket Holdings

Operon Partners Inc., an e-business services company in Gaithersburg, Md., has acquired eMarket Holdings of Stamford, Conn. for an undisclosed amount of stock. EMarket Holdings is a three-person company that focuses on measuring the impact of Internet-related business initiatives. The three partners are all former executives at GartnerGroup, a Stamford-based technology business research and analysis company. Operon Partners is a consultant to companies that want to analyze their technology needs and figure out how to use technology to grow their business. "The question we hear again and again from clients is, `How do we know what our return is for our e-business investment?`" Operon President Jim Datovech said. "`How do we know how we compare to other companies?` There`s a void in the market for that type of information." In October, Operon acquired ComVersant LLC, another Gaithersburg e-business consulting company.
