AllergyBuyersClub.com reaches 26% growth in 2006
2006 sales at Waltham, MA-based online retailer AllergyBuyersClub.com grew 26.3% over 2005, reaching $14.7 million, the company reports.
President and CEO Mercia Tapping attributes the growth to several strong marketing initiatives including more attention spent on web design to improve site conversion rates; improving inventory control to reduce backorder problems to almost zero; SKU pruning to eliminate high return products; and an enhanced print catalog program designed to drive prospective customers to the web.
Tapping forecasts a 22% lift in sales for 2007 to $18 million.
In 2007, AllergyBuyersClub.com plans to shift to a new, in-house developed e-commerce platform in the first quarter, expands its new micro-site, SleepBuyersClub.com, and increase its catalog mailings to more than 2 million.
AllergyBuyersClub.com was founded in 1998 and sells air purifiers, dehumidifiers, hypoallergenic bedding and other such products.
