Newegg.com names four new senior executives

Newegg.com, an online retailer of computer, consumer electronics, and communications product, has announced the hiring of four senior executives: Bernard Luthi, vice president of merchandising; Rick Quiroga, vice president of finance; Ron L. Bester, vice president of consumer electronics and purchasing; and Ed Johnson, vice president of human resources.

Luthi will lead the strategic development of Newegg`s merchandising team. Luthi most recently was vice president of category & vendor marketing at PC Mall and has held management positions at Ingram Micro.

Quiroga joins Newegg from senior management positions at Earthlink, where he helped manage its initial public offering of stock. He also has been vice president of finance at the Innova Group, a NASDAQ-listed apparel company.

Bester will be responsible for advancing Newegg`s sales revenues, establishing new markets and developing new vendor relationships. He most recently was vice president and director of sales and marketing at Buy.com

Prior to joining Newegg, No. 10 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, Johnson held several senior HR positions with Solectron, a Fortune 250 electronics contract manufacturer, and most recently was vice president, human resources, for Quest Software, a $500 million global software company.
