QVC names Randy Ronning chief merchandising officer for QVC and QVC.com

Randy Ronning has been named chief merchandising officer of QVC Inc., overseeing the merchandising efforts of QVC and QVC.com and responsible for QVC.com operations.

"Randy is an extremely customer-focused leader with a seasoned retailing background. His vision and solid execution have helped QVC.com evolve as one of the largest, most successful multi-channel providers on the Internet," said Darlene Daggett, QVC`s president of U.S. Commerce. "

Ronning joined QVC in January 2001 as executive vice president. Prior to that, he spent 30 years with J.C. Penney Co. Inc., where he held executive positions including president of its Catalog and Internet divisions. Before that, he held other executive positions at Penney, including president of Home and Leisure; president of International; associate director of merchandise; and vice president and director of Men`s Apparel, Accessories and Footwear.
