After a soft launch, Jos. A. Bank Clothiers Inc. has officially launched its new, enhanced web site, www.josbank.com, and will begin promoting the site. Customer can search for menswear by using several search features, place an order and receive "instant" confirmation that the inventory is available. If a customer requests expedited shipping, orders that are received before noon Eastern time can usually be shipped out of our warehouse the same day, says the Hampstead, Md.-based company.
Jos. A. Bank initiated its Internet e-commerce business in 1998, capitalizing on its existing store and catalog base to reach new customers. Internet sales increased 269% in the first half of fiscal 2000, and the company projects Internet sales to grow to over $30 million by fiscal 2003.
Features of the new site include online registration, shopping sections, advanced search functionality, real-time inventory availability, order confirmation, shipping confirmation and UPS order tracking, the company says.
