Sterling Commerce CEO Samuel Starr dies
Samuel Starr, president and CEO of supply chain technology company Sterling Commerce, died Dec. 31 after a brief hospitalization, the company reports.
Starr, who was 47, joined Sterling Commerce in 2000 and helped to expand its offerings into multi-enterprise collaboration software and services. Prior to serving as president and CEO, Starr was chief operating officer.
Before joining Sterling Commerce, which is a unit of AT&T Inc., Starr held management positions at Bank One Corp. and Claremont Technology Group Inc.
