Cellfire Inc., an m-commerce company that markets mobile coupons, has entered into its first application partnership with mobile web browser heavyweight Opera Mini. The partnership will enable users of Java-enabled mobile phones with Opera Mini instant access to exclusive discounts at retailers that use Cellfire technology and services.
By downloading the latest version of the mobile browser, Opera Mini 3.0, which is free, consumers receive a direct link to Cellfire on their home screens. Upon opening the Cellfire link, they gain access to instant savings from featured retailers. These retailers include 1-800-Flowers.com, Omaha Steaks, Condé Nast Publications and Red Rock Coffee.
“The partnership will conveniently put Cellfire right into the hands of more consumers and save them valuable shopping dollars,” says Brent Dusing, Cellfire CEO.
Opera Mini enables full web access on virtually all mobile phones. It provides access to all mobile-enabled web sites and uses a proprietary server to pre-process and compress conventional web sites before sending them to a handset. Almost 5 million mobile phone users, the company says, have downloaded Opera Mini.
