DoughNET Promotion Punches Up Teen Spending

Teen online financial Web portal DoughNET.com will offer a back-to-school promotion in August and September with Hawaiian Punch fruit drink. Beginning August 1, through the Hawaiian Punch Cool School Cash promotion, consumers can look behind the labels of Hawaiian Punch 20-oz. bottles or in 12-packs of 12-oz. cans for a "DoughCode," which can be entered online at www.doughnet.com/hawaiian-punch. Every DoughCode offers a prize, says San Francisco-based DoughNET.com, providing the Hawaiian Punch drinker with an online account of $20 cash or more. Consumers can also win a $10,000, $1,000, $250, or $50 online account with DoughNET.com. With Cool School Cash, teens can buy books, CDs, clothing, school supplies or other items online. Those who cash in on the DoughCodes can choose to either spend their money at any of DoughNET.com's 75 online retail partners or save it in their online account. DoughNET.com accounts are FDIC-insured bank accounts provided through a deal with Philadelphia-based virtual bank USABancShares.com. DoughNET.com is a leading "manage-your-money" service for teens where, with parental approval, they can safely bank, budget, shop, save and donate online without a credit card.

Hawaiian Punch is a brand of Plano, Texas-based Dr. Pepper/Seven Up Inc., the North American subsidiary of London-based Cadbury Schweppes plc.
