Sports Are Us Too

Continuing in its efforts to become a one-stop shopping location for parents, Woodcliff Lake, N.J.-based Toysrus.com announced a deal with Global Sports Inc. to develop a new youth sporting goods e-commerce site called Sportsrus.com that will launch this fall on the Toysrus site to cater to the 20 million kids that participate in youth sports. The site will feature a variety of authentic sporting goods, apparel, games, footwear and equipment and sports-related information for parents of children ages three to 12.

     Global Sports will develop and host the day-to-day technical management of the site, including product fulfillment and customer service support. Toysrus buying teams will work in conjunction with Global Sports for product merchandising. The site also will provide content and resources with tips from leading experts on issues facing parents of children entering organized sports.
