Albertsons.com expands online grocery shopping to Las Vegas
Albertsons Inc. is extended its online shopping reach to the east. Starting today, grocery shoppers in Las Vegas will be able to order from Albertsons.com. Albertsons has been selling online throughout the West Coast since last year. The expansion will serve 84 ZIP Codes in Las Vegas and expands Alberstsons.com’s reach to seven major metropolitan areas in the West.
Albertsons is offering a $10 discount on orders over $75 for the first weeks of the service. The service gives customers the option of choosing a 90-minute delivery window or of store pick-up at one of 31 stores of the customer’s choice. Albertsons will charge $9.95 for delivery; $5.95 for store pick-up.
Albertsons.com launched in Seattle in November 1999. It expanded to 146 ZIP codes in San Diego County in October 2001, and to 400 in Southern California in February 2002. In March 2002, the service expanded to 53 ZIP codes in the Portland/Vancouver area and over 100 in the San Francisco area.
