Lillian Vernon launches a credit card--and a web site to support it

Lillian Vernon Corp. today launched a new web site along with its co-branded MasterCard.

Metris Cos.’ Direct Merchants Credit Card will issue the Lillian Vernon MasterCard. Cardholders can earn rebates of 3% for every Lillian Vernon purchase and 1% of all other purchases. The rebates will be paid in Lillian Vernon gift certificates good for purchases at the web site, from the catalog or at stores.

At LillianVernonCard.com, customers can apply for cards and cardholders can view account statements, review recent transactions, check on their Lillian’s Rewards balances, pay their credit card bills electronically, sign up for e-mail alerts and contact customer service online.
