Harry & David to go public

Medford, OR-based Harry & David Holdings Inc., formerly Bear Creek Holdings Inc., has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering.

Harry and David, No. 81 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites, operates the fruit and gourmet foods retailer Harry & David and Jackson & Perkins, a seller of the premium rose plants, horticultural products and home and garden décor.

The company says the number of shares to be offered or their price have not been determined.
