Lifestyle retailer Williams-Sonoma Inc. today launched a web store for Pottery Barn, its contemporary home furnishings unit. PotteryBarn.com features shopping design studio and catalog "quick shop" features that integrate the online offering with already-established store and catalog channels. Williams-Sonoma, slower than other retailers to embrace the Web, has been playing catch-up in the past year, launching not only the Pottery Barn site, but also a wedding and gift registry and a kitchen store on Williams-Sonoma.com.
